Super Kids Church – starting Feb 3

Once a month, on the first Tuesday of the month at Good Shepherd Church, starting on February 3, we are going to experiment with an idea I have had.  What would church look like if church were aimed at the kids rather than adults?   I invite all families to come along for a children’s church service.  The service will be filled with singing, dramatized Bible readings, skits, and a children’s sermon.  The services, themed on the friends of Jesus, will last about 35 minutes, with a 25 minute fellowship hour afterwards. Bring your whole family and come and worship.

Youth Group changing time/location

The youth voted in January to change the time and location of our youth group.  Starting Feb 8, youth group will be meeting at Christ Lutheran on Sundays from 2-4pm.  Also of interest, on Feb 15 there will be a Lock Out.

No School today, No Xtreme Preteen

School closed Jan 7,so there will be no Xtreme Preteen.

OK, I read there is no school in the CV school district tomorrow (JAn 6). So as usual there will be no super kids.

Confirmation Camp

Parents!!

 

It is that time again to set our Confirmation Retreat in motion.  We will be attending the retreat at Lutherhaven Feb. 6-7 (or 8th if some are staying for Sunday morning.)

 

On January 7th when we return to our large group at Zion I will have release forms and will be accepting money for the retreats.  The cost of the retreats are $59 for the one night $77 for two nights.  My guess us that most pastors/churches will be going one night.  It is officially over Saturday late afternoon.

 

The Lutherhaven auction will be paying for 1/2 of the cost to go....so $30 for each confirmand.  I need to get this in asap after the 7th so if you forget or will not be there please give your $ to your pastor, to then give to me.  Thank you very much.
