I want to invite you to this fall’s retreat. This year we are going to Shoshone: it is always a lot of fun, and I hope you can come along!

We are renting the whole camp out, so we will be the only group there. The Saturday morning we will be doing some service projects around camp, and in the afternoon we will have access to the zip line, climbing wall and swimming in the river. You can also count on high energy games, adventure and caring people during this fabulous weekend. Included in the price, $50, is transportation, accommodation and all meals (except Friday evening).

Attached is the safety release form. And, of course, you are welcome to invite your friends, just photocopy the safety release form.

Please mail the form back to Christ Lutheran Church to arrive no later than Monday August 24. Please make checks out to ‘Holy Trinity Youth Account.’

Xtreen Preteen Week!

If your child is in 4^th-6^th grade this is the place to be this summer! August 17-21 Lutherans together will be hosting a week dedicated to preteens. Join us every night that week from 6:30-7:45, at Christ Lutheran for worship, games, bible study and lots of fun. Come play pool, ping pong, Play Station, basketball, volleyball, and the new Nintendo Wii. This is going to be great time for fun, fellowship and learning. If you try anything new this summer this is it!

This is a no cost event, but concessions will be sold on sight.

Be sure to bring a friend!

Join us for the event of the summer! Each night will be filled with games, crafts, inflatables, carnival games, and relevant Bible messages and so much more. This is going to be an outrageous week of fun. Then on Friday night August 21, there will be a huge blow out with a BBQ and concert for the entire family.

September 12-13

Save the dates September 12-13 to celebrate the 50^th Anniversary of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. A number of special events are planned for that weekend, and more information will follow shortly as we work out the details of those events.

For now, please mark your calendar and plan to join together to celebrate 50 years of ministry, and an exciting future open to the moving of the Holy Spirit.

He's a pro session guitarist, a composer of music for film and television. Add devout Christian and father of five children and you are describing Michael Lewis, a veteran Christian artist from Nashville, TN. His music is heard on radio and television broadcasts around the world, he has toured across the country and internationally, and has performed with a number of major label artists. From West Palm Beach to Seattle, Michael Lewis has been a worship leader and guitarist for many major conferences, including: World Youth Day, Christian Artists Seminar of the Rockies, Hosanna! Integrity worship conferences and Promise Keepers gatherings. Kick Soccer, our Lutherans Together Soccer Camp for kids aged 7 through middle school is happening again this summer Aug 10-14.

Thrivent Builds

Come help the Kopets and Belavus families dream of owning a house come true.  Lutheranstogether has reserved all the volunteer spots on Saturday, April 18^th to work on the Thrivent Builds project.  There are 24 slots in the AM and 24 slots in the PM reserved.  The AM shift runs from 8:30 to Noon.  The PM shift runs from 12:30 to 4 PM.  You can sign up for either shift or for the whole day.  You must register online at www.habitat-spokane.org Click on the volunteer tab and then the box titled “Volunteer Now”.  Follow the instructions for a first time user.  Click the Lutheranstogether and Lutheran boxes as you register.  Also click the Thrivent Member box if you are a member.  The slots will be filled on a first come first served basis.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.  Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by parent or legal guardian.  You can bring your own tool belt and hand tools.  Power tools are provided by Habitat along with tools if you don’t have them.  You will need to fill out a Volunteer Application & Wavier.  It can be found at www.habitat-spokane.org/files/volunteer.pdf If you forget to do this the form will be available at the worksite for you to complete.
